Sander, Screenshot automation
Talked a akademy 2005, there was a script to take screenshots of KDE apps but it was unmaintained. So Sander looked after it. Main reason for this is documentation screenshots are always taken in English and the translation teams don't have time to take screenshots in their languages. Also some screenshots are very old and need updated. Script is now working for him but may not be very user friendly.
makeScreenshots script uses KD Executer, a program scripting tool from KDab and needs all the language packs installed.
But need to know how to get to the dialogue you is being taken of. You want to make sure you get the exact dialogue with the exact settings being described in the tool.
Demonstration of taking a screenshot of Gwenview, shows the script running and Gwenview pops up, opens dialogue, takes screenshot... same thing automatically repeated for 50 languages.
makeScreenshot script is a hack, very ugly. Getting it right takes time. Sander won't be responsible for any loss of data. Also KD Executor scripts need to be careful as in some cases it can hang.
